Participles Participles are something that English almost doesn't have anymore. Many other languages, including Lithuanian, have them, though. Participles are verbals or, simply put, words made from verbs. If you haven't come across participles in your own language, then they may look hard at first. Do not start learning participles if you are not well-acquainted with verbs. Lithuanian has four sorts of participles: dalyvis (einąs, einanti, einą, einančios; einamas, einama, einami, einamos), pusdalyvis (eidamas, eidama, eidami, eidamos), padalyvis (einant, ėjus, eidavus, eisiant) and būdinys (eite). |
