Now that you are introduced to most of the endings, we can learn one more important thing.
Pay attention to nouns which end in is, ys and ė and which have the letter d or t before these endings. For example:
laikrodis (a clock)
gaidys (a rooster)
kėdė (a chair)
amerikietis (an American)
žaltys (a grass-snake)
katė (a cat)
In some cases, these nouns change their d and t into dž and č. These cases are highlighted in the blue table below.
