Būdinys is a participle that highlights the method of an action. Būdinys is made by changing the ti of the infinitive into te: bėgti (to run) becomes bėgte, nešti (to bring) becomes nešte. Būdinys is always used in front of a verb and strengthens it.
Jonas bėgte bėga. Jonas runs (as runners should run; very quickly).
Ugnis degte dega. The fire burns (intensively).
