The prefix , when used with verbs of movement, means a direction on or behind something or has a figurative meaning of dropping by (visit somebody).

užeiti - to walk/go behind smth; to drop by; to visit
užbėgti - to run on or behind smth; to visit by running
užvažiuoti - to drive on or behind smth; to visit by driving
užskristi - to fly on or behind smth; to visit by flying
užjoti - to ride on or behind smth; to visit by riding
užplaukti - to swim on or behind smth; to visit by swimming

Berniukas užeina už mokyklos. A boy walks behind the school.
Mergaitė užeina į mokyklą. A girl drops by to school / visits the school.

Broliai užbėga už namo. The brothers run behind the house.
Jonas užbėga ant kalno. Jonas runs on the hill.
Kai būsi namie, užbėk į mano namus. When you will be home, drop by (by running) into my home.

Greita mašina užvažiuoja ant kalno. A fast car drives on the hill.
Lėta mašina užvažiuoja už kalno. A slow car drives behind the hill.
Kai būsi Lietuvoje, užvažiuok į Kauną. When you will be in Lithuania, drop by (by driving) into Kaunas.

Šis laivas užplaukia ant ledkalnio. This ship swims on the iceberg [ledkalnis].
Tik du laivai užplaukia už salos. Only two ships swim behind the island.
Tas laivas plaukia į Estiją, bet užplaukia į Latviją. That ship swims to Estonia, but drops by (by swimming) to Latvia.

Gražus arklys užjoja ant didelio kelio. A nice horse rides on a big road.
Negražus arklys užjoja už medžio. An ugly horse rides behind the tree.
Kunigaikštis užjoja į šią pilį. The duke drops by (by riding) to this castle.

Paukštis užskrenda ant mano namo. The bird flies on my house.
Mažas paukštis užskrenda už mano namo. A little bird flies behind my house.
Paukščiai skrenda į Ameriką, bet taip pat užskrenda į Ispaniją. Birds fly to America, but also drop by to Spain.

All these verbs, meaning to drop by (užeiti, užbėgti, užvažiuoti, užskristi, užjoti, užplaukti) can also be changed by the verb užsukti (užsuka) (to drop by). It is made by a verb that you already know: sukti (suka) (to turn).
