The preposition prie usually means near or next to.
Prie requires the genitive case.
Prie mokyklos. Near the school.
Aš esu prie universiteto. I am near the university.
Mano sesė gyvena prie parko. My sister lives near the park.
Vilnius nėra prie Kauno. Vilnius is not next to Kaunas.
Lietuva yra prie Latvijos. Lithuania is near Latvia.
With verbs of movement it can also mean towards:
Jis eina prie mokyklos. He is walking towards the school. / He is walking near the school.
Studentai bėga prie universiteto. The students are running towards the university. / The students are running near the university.
